DOMAINE DE L'ENVOL
DANIEL HIRSINGER, CATHERINE HIRSINGER ET RAPHAËL MARCHAL
In the heart of the Alsatian vineyard in Ingersheim, the Hirsinger and the Marchal families joined forces in August 2016 to launch Domaine de l'Envol with the ambition of producing wines rooted in their soils with a minimum of inputs in the vineyard and cellar.
The Domaine de l'Envol covers over 50 acres of varied soils, notably Grand Cru Florimont (between Ingersheim and Katzenthal), Grand Cru Wineck-Schlossberg (Katzenthal) and Grand Cru Steinert (Pfaffenheim). Their estate also includes some beautiful place-names such as Bergweingarten in Pfaffenheim, Steinweg, Dorfburg and Leztenberg in Ingersheim.
Using biodynamic methods, this vineyard is certified since the 2016 year of vintage and organic since 2010. True to their philosophy, the owners’ intention is to promote the Alsatian soils’ richness and diversity throughout the world, offering wines that stand out for their personality and are a reflection of their terroirs.
